A Dot on the Cosmic Calendar
Homo Sapiens have existed for roughly 200,000 years, while as far as we know the universe has existed 13.8 billion years. In an attempt to wrap your head around the inconcievably large 13.8 billion years of the Universe’s existence, think about it this way: On the cosmic calendar (a 12 month calendar), homo sapiens came into existence just 10 minutes ago. Even more mind boggling, a human that is 20 years old today came into existence 0.03 seconds ago.

Each of us exists (assuming the reader is not a vampire) for less than a blink of an eye. However, as we traverse thorugh life, time -a human construct- feels long. It is easy to feel like time is in abundance and we have a lot of it, especially if we are young. the relative vastness of time often results in us bieng very wasteful of it. Why are we so careful how we spend our money, but so prodigal in the way we spend our time? I emplore you to stop bieng so generous with your time and devote you ephemeral eistence to something you are passionate about and enjoy doing.
One lifetime is sufficient if you value your time the way many value their money.
